Action Plans
Turn audit findings into tracked tasks with owners, priorities, due dates, and push to Monday.com or ClickUp.
Action Plans let you turn audit findings into concrete tasks that your team can track and complete. Assign owners, set due dates, track progress, and push items to your project management tools.
Overview dashboard
The Action Plans page shows four stat cards at the top:
- Open — Items waiting to be started
- In Progress — Items currently being worked on
- Completed — Items marked as done
- Overdue — Open or in-progress items past their due date
Click any stat card to filter the list to that status. A progress bar below the stats shows overall completion percentage.
Creating action items
From an audit
- Navigate to the Action Plans page
- Click Generate from Audit
- RevTrace creates action items for Critical and Warning findings
- A toast notification tells you how many items were created and how many duplicates were skipped
Items generated from an audit include the check ID, category badge, and a link back to the source finding.
Manually
- Click Add Item on the Action Plans page
- Enter a title, description, and priority
- Optionally set a due date
Searching and filtering
The toolbar provides several ways to narrow down your action items:
- Search — Type to search across titles, descriptions, and check IDs
- Status filter — Filter by Open, In Progress, Done, or Dismissed
- Priority filter — Filter by High, Medium, or Low
- Assignee filter — Filter by team member or show unassigned items
- Sort — Sort by Priority (default), Due Date, or Created date
- My Tasks — Toggle to show only items assigned to you
An active filter count badge appears when filters are applied. Click Clear to reset all filters at once.
Managing action items
Click any action item to open the detail panel. The panel shows:
- Badges — Check ID, audit category, priority level, and overdue status at a glance
- Description — The full item description
- Source finding — If generated from an audit, a link back to the audits page
- Solution guide — HubSpot navigation path, best practices, and common pitfalls from the matching solution guide
- Status — Open, In Progress, Done, or Dismissed
- Priority — High, Medium, or Low
- Assignee — Any team member in your organization
- Due date — Target completion date
- Notes — Free-text notes for context or updates
The detail panel stays open after saving, so you can make changes and then push to an integration without re-opening.
Action item cards
Each action item row shows:
- Priority — Color-coded dot with label (High/Medium/Low)
- Title — The item name, with strikethrough for completed items
- Check ID and category — The source check (e.g., DP-05) and category (e.g., Pipeline)
- Assignee avatar — The assigned team member's avatar and first name
- Due date — Shown in red with an "Overdue" badge when past due
- Status group — Items are grouped by status with color-coded count badges
Overdue tracking
Items past their due date are highlighted with:
- A red border on the card
- An "Overdue" badge with a warning icon
