Connecting HubSpot

Link your HubSpot portal to RevTrace using OAuth. Takes under a minute.

RevTrace connects to your HubSpot portal via OAuth — the same secure authorization flow used by all HubSpot marketplace apps. No API keys to copy, no credentials to manage.

Prerequisites

  • A HubSpot account with Super Admin access (recommended) or admin-level permissions
  • An active RevTrace account at app.revtrace.ai

Steps

  1. Log in to RevTrace and navigate to HubSpot Portals in the sidebar
  2. Click Connect Portal
  3. You'll be redirected to HubSpot's OAuth consent screen
  4. Select the portal you want to connect (if you have access to multiple)
  5. Review the permissions RevTrace is requesting and click Grant access
  6. You'll be redirected back to RevTrace with your portal connected

What permissions does RevTrace request?

RevTrace requests read-only access to the HubSpot objects it needs to audit:

  • CRM objects — contacts, companies, deals, tickets
  • CRM schemas — properties, pipelines, lifecycle stages
  • Workflows — automation definitions and enrollment history
  • Forms — form definitions and submissions metadata
  • Analytics — reporting and dashboard data

RevTrace never writes to or modifies your HubSpot data.

Multiple portals

You can connect multiple HubSpot portals to the same RevTrace organization. Each portal appears as a separate card on the Portals page. This is useful for agencies managing client portals or companies with sandbox environments.

Agency tip: If you have a client group selected in the sidebar when you connect a new portal, it's automatically assigned to that group.
