Configure an Audit
Set sensitivity presets, time windows, and category selection before running an audit.
Before running an audit, you can configure its settings to match your team's priorities and your portal's context.
Sensitivity presets
RevTrace offers three sensitivity presets that control the thresholds for findings:
| Preset | Description |
|---|---|
| Conservative | Only surfaces clear-cut issues. Fewer findings, higher confidence. |
| Balanced | Default setting. Good balance of coverage and noise reduction. |
| Aggressive | Surfaces everything, including borderline issues. More findings to review. |
Choose Conservative when presenting to leadership (fewer, higher-impact findings). Choose Aggressive when doing a deep cleanup sprint.
Time windows
Some checks are time-based — for example, "deals not updated in X days." The time window setting controls these lookback periods:
- 30 days — Short window, catches recent issues
- 60 days — Default, balanced
- 90 days — Longer window, catches older issues
Category selection
By default, all 8 audit modules run. You can deselect specific categories if they aren't relevant:
- Uncheck categories your portal doesn't use (e.g., Scoring if you don't use lead scoring)
- Focus on a specific area by selecting only that category
Saving preferences
Audit settings are remembered per portal. The next time you run an audit on the same portal, your previous settings are pre-filled.
For recurring audits, configure settings when creating a schedule.
